Feels like home...

I am now, again, in Saigon. Took the 14-hour bus ride direct from Siem Reap via Phnom Penh. Oh well, 14 hours, it's nothing. Two months on the road now and it is becoming normal.

It was around 8pm when arrived Pham Ngu Lao. First thing that came to my mind was to visit Little Quennies which feels like homecoming. It was the first bar I had my coffee and Beer Saigon when I first arrived in Ho Chi Minh more than a month ago. It is not the best bar, it is just a simple bar where normally old whites sit with their "young ones". BUT the people there are nice and they know me there, at least a bit.

So I went to Little Quennies. I ordered Iced Black Coffee with sweet milk and lots of ice - Saigon Style. Yum! Then it really feels like home. I had a chat with the pregnant bartender though we exchange just some words (literally) and sign language. What I liked most was the greetings: "You came back again. How are you?" Feels really good. I wouldn't hear that some some more weeks or months from my friends or relatives...
