Through the Mekong - 2 days and a night (Part 3)

Last part of the slow-boat ride through the Mekong. It was a nice relaxing day. Inspite sleeping without fan and mosquitoes trying to find their way inside your net, it was in general a wonderful day.

The Mekong Sandwich
The girls and I, as we have been accustomed to went to the market for food. Food refer to bread, cucumber, tomato and cheese (if we find something worth the price). This is what we call the "Mekong Sandwich" which I hope the girls will include on their menu when they start their own guest house in Brazil.

This time, we found a cheaper cheese and even got some lemons for free after going around the small market and asking the same question about the prices for the food. Woohooo! Our bargaining skills are definitely becoming better and better.

We are very much looking forward to see Luang Prabang. Given all what the Lonely Planet have told us and all the people are saying, we better see and find it out.

Upon arriving, we recognized that it is the biggest city that we've seen so far. And we were "harangued" by the "representatives" of the guest houses to go with them. We all took their flyers and cards and decided to just walk around and take a look. The offers ranges from 20,000 to 40,000 kip... and of course, 20,000 kip is the best. So we went... until it seems far enough and one guy from one guest house found us and offered us 20,000 kip each for a dorm room with own toilet and bath. Not bad and we are tired.

The Chansavang Guest House was really nice. We've got what seems to be an old room made of wood but really clean and the toilet/bath is fairly big. We loved it! And it was only us in the dorm! Yipeee!

Time to shower again and look for food later.
